The 2009 Presidential Election in Iran has lead to a series of protests and accusations of rigging by the opposition. While most countries have remained silent on what they consider an internal affair, some western countries have been increasingly critical of the election and the protests that followed. President Obama has also stated that the protests would have an effect on Iran-US negotiations. Here, we try to find solutions to amicably resolve the issue. Help resolve it!

Help develop Problem Guidelines!

Shape Your World uses a set of guidelines to collaboratively solve problems. Once a problem is initiated, the creator specifies which version of the guidelines it shall follow. The naming convention is as follows:
  • All guidelines are numbered as X.X (where X stands for a number)
  • Guidelines following a similar over-arching structure will use the same initial number and only the second number shall vary, e.g. X.11 and X.12

The Global Financial crisis has had far-reaching effects on the socio-economic landscape of the world. Not only has it led to a global recession, but has also caused massive unemployment,a fall in oil prices and a call by some countries for the setting up of a new economic world order. While there have been some signs of recovery in the past months, alot still needs to be done. Here, we attempt to reach constructive solutions to the worst recession since the Great Depression by analyzing its causes, current events and statements coming in from world capitals/financial institutions.Help Resolve it!

Militancy in Pakistan

In recent years, militants in Pakistan have conducted an insurgency and used the north-west of the country as a training base for carrying out attacks in Afghanistan. The past few weeks have seen the Pakistan army engage in a full scale offensive against the militants, leading to the displacement of over 2 million people. The outcome of this war could have long lasting effects on both Pakistan and the world. Here, we aim to analyze and discuss all the factors/actors in play and provide soulutions to the problems. Help resolve it!
